Unit 1 Reflection

Entering M&M Tech not knowing exactly what it is, I've learned a lot in the past month and a half. I started not knowing what an accountant is to being an accountant. I've learned a lot especially in this class. I thought business was simple, but I now I have a wider experience in what I might be doing in university. I for sure can use Google Docs outside of class, for example if I want to discuss something with someone living far away or even next door, for example an essay; I can share the document with them as viewing privilege or even editing privilege. So I've learned something not only for my educational and school life but for my life in the future. Instead of using the internet to have fun, I can now use it for serious stuff too.

Business Proposal

My business is going to be selling clothing and accessories. So I will be selling the latest styles of clothing coming from America, and the latest accessories such as rings, necklaces, and bangles (ex.ripped clothing style, and studs); they are going to be all authentic and they will be a limited amount of each item so that they would be unique.

My target audience will be mainly teenage girls, who are obsessed with fashion and accessories, but it could also attract older women who are fashion forward. Only bold women would dare to purchase any of my items would be attracted to my site.

I believe that this business will be successful, because a lot of Kuwaitis like to express themselves through their clothing. In addition I think a person excels in what they like. I have a better chance in excelling in clothing and fashion than stocks, because first of all you have to understand what your doing, and I know fashion more than stocks. In addition I love fashion and I don't get bored of it. So in conclusion, I would rather stay ours looking at fashion and learning more of it, rather that spending an hour in stocks. So my business will excel if I am passionate about it, and that why I am willing to start the business.

Hello,
 I am Fuddah Al Mudhaf,  I am a senior here at ASK. I took this class to learn more about how computers are not only for social networks and shopping online, but there are more uses for it. I would like to learn these uses and how they are interpreted into the world, and how they are used but different people and different jobs. In addition, one thing I would like to learn is how its is used in advertisement, I can learn about the media and market place technology, and how it impacts society in general. Since I applied as majoring in Advertising, that would be a great opportunity to learn the basics and first steps to my future, and be a head of the game.

When I took the quiz, I got a score of 17, and I am proud that I am average; I am not dependent on the internet extremely, but  I use it in consideration. Getting the score of 17 shows me how I use the internet not only via computers but even driving in a car is considered using the internet. Also, it shows me that even though society is obsessed with the internet I am not that obsessed but lower it could be a positive thing towards me. To lower my score I could use the car less and walk to the supermarket more often, since its two minutes away from my house. In addition when I go to my friends how we can carpool, for examples once in her car then the next is mine. In addition, to minimize it I can make my own sandwich instead of ordering online from Subway. Lastly, to protect myself I should not give personal information to anyone or any website until I am sure that its a protected safe website. In addition I should never give out my address, number, and credit card information. In addition I should be careful on what to download or what to click on the pop-up advertisement. In addition I should not connect to any wireless, unless I know who the owner is, so that it doesn't take my information.
